Re: [Raiding] LFR asshattery

Is this like a WoW version of a E Fight. Cause it sure looks like some gauntlets have been thrown.

last night was horrible. worst yet. During Ultraxion, the tanks weren't pulling down all dragons... they were trying to kill them one at a time (which means we all are standing in fire)... when well-meaning dps would pull down a drake to stop his fire... the tanks were not grabbing threat from them. We finished the gauntlet with 1 tank, 2 healers and 5 dps standing... /ugh.

first attempt on Ultraxion... only one tank knew he needed to pop his button for tank swap... the other tank never pulled threat, leaving them to suffer for their good deed. Each time the one tank "phased"... a dps died. When he comes back, he can't build threat for 10sec... usually leading to another dps death. Add to that your typical "LFR is lolz" dps (I really hate these guys) who expect healers to just heal them through the completely avoidable dmg... and yeah... If I could reach through the internet and strangle some people... /woosaah

next attempt with new OT... new OT never, ever, ever took aggro. ever. My guidlies and I dropped group... and my wife and I called it a night. Pretty sure the guildies did too. Horrible night for randoms.

Was a full moon past couple nights. Firmly believe that influences much - crazies, idiots, just plain lost-your-brain types all around.

Seriously. I had my Riot Shield directly facing, and I mean DIRECTLY facing, some fag shooting with a MP7 and Rapid Fire but somehow in my Killcam it showed that I had turned around and he raped my ass. I mean OMGWTFBBQQ! But then I Prestiged again.

Unless muz went solo, it was done.

If only I had not 'pulled a drew' and left group during rolls on Wednesday...

Dusted off my hunter and gear grinded a few HOT heroics until i was geared up for LFR.

Got into 3/4 madness encounter. Group was raging on how DPS would not switch to adds on the last Limb.

grouped filled up and we clear it.

the asshattery :

HOW THE FUCK was i, on a undergeared, no gems or enchantments, surival hunter that i havn't touched in like 9 months number 8 on DPS (33k) with 4-7 less that 1k higher than me

LFR has been around long enough for many other people to not be on their mains...

That still doesnt matter Immer. People are just either, bad, lazy, and don't care to get carried. My alt hunter goes in there and performs.

Someone has a case of the Tuesdays. NERD RAGE!

I feel you though. I usually am the best heals and moderate (campared to other healers) on gear. I feel as though many do not try hard enough in LFR and assume Blizz owes them a victory or at least ride the coattails of those who take it seriously.

My take on LFR is this. Wow got concerned about losing client base, the launch of rift, the launch of starwars, that they made everything ultra easy. Post on MMO shows the percentages of those who defeated Ulduar. In way less time more people have already defeated Dragon Soul. Those people who are in there that you are outdpsing really just pay their bill and say they have a right to see end content and that is about all they do. They are happy, blizz is happy, but they do not have the ability to do more. I just wish they would have made the normal mode a little more difficult. I am between guilds atm and have pugged deathwing on 3 toons the past week. I cannot recall that was possible even on Litch when only a 5% nerf was out. Its all watered down

no offense to you personally... but it's retarded to compare LFR (an intentionally easy-mode version of the raid) to Ulduar.

the rest of your post was okay. Blizz wants the epeen measuring to be based on heroic modes... not normals... and definitely not LFR. They don't really want MOP to drop while only 2% of the community has killed DS on heroic.

I had a very odd LFR experience this week. I was on my hunter, on gunship I believe, and won helm token and starcaller agi trinket. Another dps starts whispering me, trying to act all friendly, and telling me that he has 2 359 trinkets, poor me, etc. I responded politely, and said I was replacing a 359 as well. He kept whispering, all the way through spine, and on to madness. I thought he was a hunter (didn't look at the raid window), and said if you win the staff on the last boss, I'll trade you for it. He said sorry I'm a rogue.

When madness went down, two of the staves dropped. The guy who won one whispered me, and offered to trade for the token. I did so, and left the raid. Two minutes later, a lvl 1 toon whispers me, telling me what a rude person I was, etc etc - saying he had whispered the other winner, and gotten him to trade me the staff, and how ungrateful I was, and how he had four toons on my server in top raiding guilds and I would never get in a normal DS again....I was blown away. I didn't see such a whisper, and didn't ask for his "assistance". How he was done trying to be nice to people, and how I could rot in hell. It's not even worth reasoning with those kind of people I've discovered.....wow.

yikes. although, if he had 4 toons on your server, why did he have to make a lvl1? for anonymity?

I definitely try to pay attention to those from my server in LFR or LFD. One thing you can get on a low pop server is a reputation.

Yeah, I questioned why he would have to do that - my guess is he was completely full of sh*t. I kept a level head, and just told him to stop acting like a spoiled child, I neither asked for nor agreed to use him as a broker. I had to laugh about "not getting a normal DS ever again" - how someone could actually pull that off on a high pop server like Proudmoore is ludicrous. Hundreds of guilds doing normal DS. I just laughed at him.

Here's what lots of people don't understand and has been said by Blizz: if someone rolls need and wins it, there's nothing you could do to take it away from that player, even if the player has i397 tiers and wins a i384.. these are the loot rules...

Nowadays most people roll need on everything hoping in trading for something you really need. Most of the time you don't get what you wanted, sorry, next week..

Like on my hunter rolled need on tier helm, won it.. hoping for a bow or weapon from DW, they didn't drop, looked for hunter, shaman or warrior to give the helm, nobody wanted it.. not even offspec

I've surprised a few people with "gifts" like this... and have myself received a few upgrades on my alts this way.

I also do my "effort" chart when winning gear, this keeps loot out of arsehats and give it to deserving people..

DPS: did decent DPS, more than the tanks, /inspect shows gemmed gear and enchants.
Healers: Do some decent heals, also gear gemmed and enchanted.
Tanks: Do your job, proper taunts and gear not all PvP.
