| Echolink not answering Firstly to close earlier posted question - "EchoLink Setup". As I was attempting to run echolink from desktop and laptop on behalf of my friend, alphapointe's response prodded me in the right direction. I found I had to set portforwarding in his router twice such that it was individually linked to both devices. Calls to the test server from both devices worked OK.
Now, having left it with him to try it appears he is not making successful calls. No one seems to be answering. I asked him that when he makes a radio call he ask the other party if they use echolink and if they did, could they test using echolink.
In meantime, he has tried calling a repeater station MB7ICL here in UK but echolink always says that the station is "busy" whilst an immediate radio call to same call sign is answered
We're not sure if there is some setting in echolink that has been missed or another issue and would appreciate any help you could give |
