| Get rid of all of it While we're at it, let's get rid of ALL copyright and trademark laws. Make everything free! That way no artist, musician, writer, actor, film company, producer, director and so on get paid for ANYTHING. What a wonderful world it would be. Imagine the multitudes of writers burning the midnight oil, slavishly working to write the next great American novel just to see it published around the world on the internet for all the world to see...for free! And he won't get a nickel for it! What a concept! Everyone will be doing it!
SOPA is about copyright infringement on the internet. SOPA has its heart in the right place but it needs more thought and more input from technology companies on how to handle it. The idea behind SOPA is sound. |
