how to get non-broadcast HD

I currently have Expanded Basic and my HDTV and PC tuner card both receive HD for the broadcast channels. I would like to add the other HD channels available with Expanded Basic. The best way would be to rent a DVR. If I understand correctly, the DVR would provide the HD channels to my TV, so I would not need to also rent the HD converter. Is that correct ?

If so, what HD output do I get from the DVR? Is it DVI or HDMI ?
Is there just one HD output? If it is DVI, then I also need RCA audio cables?

Finally, I guess there is no way to get these additional HD channels to my PC tuner, since the input is cable. Right?

thanks,

Our DVRs are all HD capable. Most of them have both Component and HDMI. Some of the older units have DVI, but we do not deploy them very often anymore. If you have a specific request for DVI, then make sure to say so when you order it/pick it up, otherwise you will be provided with a unit that has HDMI.

There is no way to pick them up with *YOUR* PC tuner, but it is possible to pick them up with a CableCard tuner like the ones made by Ceton, Hauppauge, or HD HomeRun.
