kudos:1 | Odd password issue For the last month or so whenever I attempt to post:
-If I post without logging in, and enter the User/Pass as I am posting I get a message that reads:
"Errors:
emoci - incorrect password
(your post cannot be accepted until you correct this)"
The password is not incorrect though.
-The message is not the same if I purposefully enter an incorrect password for example, in that case I get:
"alert:
please enter a valid username and password
Stuck? try the help forum"
-Everything works fine as long as I login into DSLR via »/login/ before attempting a post.
I am wondering if this is a bug...or... |

| If your password is too long (I think the limit is 12 characters), that happens.
When you enter the too-long password, the ordinary login truncates it to the correct length, and that works. But a login just to post does not truncate, so it does not match the truncated password that is really used.
