DSL seems to lag

hello all..i hope you could perhaps help me where verizon reps have not. Recently about every hour..hour and a half my connection will for lack of a better term lag out for a minute or three then come back perfectly normal again. i just received a new modem from Verizon and it continued to do the same thing and i am at a loss as to what it may be. I had been using the Westell 6100 and now have the 7500.

Any help is appreciated and if ya need anything to help..let me know

thanks for any help

I did manage to get my ticket escalated to the Chronic Intermittent Group and spoke to someone there. Good luck getting there after navigating the level 1 group a few times along with their redundant scripts, especially after getting disconnected while on hold.... I should be gettting a call back Monday at the latest.

Same thing here....several times a day..the connection just goes to crap. My guess is they are trying to push us all into FIOS. They keep sending deceptive letters saying how service will be disconstinued and you 'should' upgrade.....too much nonsense.

Getting worse and worse...today is awful...come on Verizon....step up and maintain your copper network...we are STILL paying every month...this is almost criminal. I will never give you a dime for FIOS...truth.

Last night was really bad. It's getting to the point where any real time programs(RDP,VOIP,Gaming) are not reliable. I wouldn't even attempt to contact verizon support. I tried on saturday, and I was asked questions like, what OS are you using, and what model is you dsl modem, after I explained how the exact symptom is happening on many other customers in my area.

I live outside of Pittsburgh and have been having some problems as well. I actually just got my d/l speeds bumped up a little bit and a much more consistent speed during peak hours, I barely lose any d/l speed.

The problem I have been now noticing is a very high ping.. even when I was having slow speeds my ping would never be over 71ms maybe 75ms and im talking getting .750mbps during peak hours slow. Right now to Pittsburgh which is only about 70 miles away im getting between 100 and 130ms... its killing my xbox!

anyone been having this issue?
