Our main DVR freezes on some channels and we always experience really bad pixelation. Really annoying
Two suddenlink techs. have come out but the issue still exists.
It would be much appreciated if any of the suddenlink people on this board could help!

 | Your signal levels are very high. Just like signal levels that are to weak can cause issues so can signal levels that are to strong. Levels that are to strong can overdrive the tuners causing picture issues. The effects of which can vary from tuner to tuner depending on the quality and specs of the given tuner. How many active outlets do you have in the house? Do you know if a house amplifier was ever installed? IF so you may not need it. |

Thanks your help! |

 | reply to c47v3770 Check and see if its a single port with 15dB gain, 4 port with 7dB gain or 8 with 0 gain.
Your low end persay, which is the "out of band" OOB is 17.9 on one and 12.8 on other
Your High end persay, which is the "in band" IB1 at 813mHz is 19.1db.....yada yada yada..
Basically take the amp completely out, with those levels you could prolly go with unbalanced 3-way and the 3.5dB leg feeding modem ( dont want to kill the return) use a 7dB leg to feed the farthest outlet and other 7dB to feed 4 way. If you dont have a modem, use the 3.5dB leg to feed the four way or use a balanced 5.5dB splitter.
Now on the other hand if you have not had any issue's with this setup in the past, the more than likely a mainline trunk/bridger/le amplifier has flaked out and you may still have the issue's even with levels setting around 0dB which is optimal at all equipment. Due to the fact of overdrive and creating MER/BER issues. Then you would have to call in for service call.... |
