[DSL] DSL Extreme, aka provider from Hades strikes again

After going through month after month of dealing with their idiotic overseas customer service in getting my service straightened out (it took Alex from DSLx to go behind the scenes to fix whatever the problem was), DSLx has disconnected my service. They don't know why. I've called, talked to their reps who are on the crappiest phones that cut out every 4th word, been bounced from dept to dept and have to start from square 1 with each oversea speaker (including giving my name and address again and again). All they say they will put in a reconnect order which will take 2 weeks. And they refuse to prorate for the 3 weeks my sevice will be down. Ive asked about terminating my contract, they said that it would cost $250 because my contract doesn't end till July. That's another lie. They reset my contract every time I called to try to fix their incompetence .

End the end though, $250 is a bargain compaired to dealing with this abomination of a service company

I'm sorry to hear about your experience; reconnections are usually much smoother. If you'd care to IM me your account info, I can have a representative look into this for you.

Just did. It's not right that DSLx customers have to go to a 3d party forum to get anything fixed. DSLx needs to dump their tier 1 support and replace it with a computer automated system. I've had nothing but misinformation and dead end redirects from Tier 1.

Sorry, just got your PM today (I'm out on Fridays). I see that you've got another thread started so I'll reply over there.

And it's down again. Why does DSLx use to keep their paper organized? Card catalogs? They've got Covad coming to my door when there are no problems then inexplicably sending shut off orders other times. Nobody knows why and of course this always happens when no one is available to help because they've all gone home

50% downtime this month.

Time to send my shutoff notice to DSLx and let the BBB know that they are a bs company

Covad has been disconnecting your circuit, and you're quite right: we don't know why. Unfortunately, the department that would have that information is their provisioning department, which is closed for the weekend; we currently have tickets open to address this Monday morning. I know how frustrating this must be; we'll do everything we can to get you back online as quickly as possible, but if you want to cancel after this experience I do understand.
