| Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Has anyone else played the beta? I played through it last night on the 360. It was pretty fun and seems like it could be a great RPG. I am not convinced to pre-order yet but only because I've got a huge backlog going. I will probably get it at some point. |

 | i downloaded the demo on 360 last night.
my interest begins with the fact that it grants me bonus fancy armor for Mass Effect 3.
currently know little else about it. |

By the way, the story is written by R.A. Salvatore (of Drizz't fame). |

| The art style definitely has a Fable-y feel to it. However, I found the Fable seroes easy to the point of being dull; I didn't like it. This seems a lot more deep and involved, at least at first glance.
I've played the demo twice, once as sword and board and once as a mage. Pretty fun. I may go back and play the rogue at some point before I decide to purchase. |
|
 | i got through the whole character creation segment, and got to the beginning of the "open world" portion of the demo, and i totally agree it feels a LOT like fable.
i've heard the derogatory label "GOMO" being leveled at this game. and i understand why, especially given the developers.
the fantasy world felt rather generic during the small glimpse i got to see.
that said, it was late at night when i got to the open section with the 45 minute timer, and i couldn't be bothered to wander for that amount of time. i may or may not go back to it.
i was honestly more interested in the ME3 bonuses.
it seems like an alright Fable-a-like. if that's your thing. |

I played the Reckoning demo for the Mass effect 3 bonus items, now how do I know if I will get the items because nothing popped up notifying me I completed the demo and items will be unlocked Reckoning looks good dont know if I will pay 60 for it, it feels like (Fable, Skyrim, Dragon Age ) so with that said I think I will wait a while til it get marked down at gamestop before I pick it up. |

| reply to bionicRod I'm waiting for a sale on this one. Most of the reviews say the story and characters are meh while the combat is great but enemy types are limited. It's supposed to be very big and very long and I don't know if combat alone can keep me interested for long enough to pay full price. Definitely getting it as some other users find it highly entertaining, but going to wait a while until it drops in price. |
