Wily_OnePremium join:2002-11-24 San Jose, CA | RHEL kernel/version mapping Hey guys I'm looking for a website that lists which kernel version maps to which RHEL release. IBM (of all people) used to have such a list but it hasn't been updated since RHEL 4. Thanks. |

| From wikipedia, these are the versions that are not EOL.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (Nahant), 2005-02-15. Uses Linux 2.6.9 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (Tikanga), 2007-03-14. Uses Linux 2.6.18 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (Santiago), 2010-11-10 Uses Linux 2.6.32
These kernels won't resemble what comes from kernel.org though, as Red Hat backports tons of fixes and patches from newer kernels into these kernels. -- Verizon FiOS subscriber since 2005 | Mac owner since 1990 | Fedora user since 2006 | CentOS user since 2007 | "Anyone who is unwilling to learn is entitled to absolutely nothing." - graysonf | EDIT: I seldom post without an edit. |

Wily_OnePremium join:2002-11-24 San Jose, CA | Thanks. What IBM had went down to the update level, e.g. "RHEL4 Update 4", etc. For example 2.6.9-34.x is RHEL4 Update 3 while 2.6.9-42.x is RHEL4 Update 4.
I'm looking for something where I can take the kernel subversion (e.g. 2.6.32-200) and find which RHEL release it maps to. |

It's a shame they're not keeping it updated. I was hoping something else like this was out there. |
