[DSL] Frontier installed Netgear Fontier5196 access to modem?

Frontier tech installed a new Fontier5196 modem yesterday to replace a Netgear modem that I was using. He programed the password and the SSID off my old Netgear DGN1000 to the wireless side of he router. Now, I can not access the new Netgear modem online using my old user name/PW. Nothing I have used will let me sign into the new modem. The Fronter5196, Netgear model B90-755044-14 is no where listed on the Negear website..Any ideas how I can access this modem?

Thanks,

Ted

Run the ipconfig /all command on a computer that is connected by wire to the netgear and post the results

Netgear purchased the westell modems and the 755044-14 is the 7500

The 7550 is not the same as the 7500. The Netgear 7550 is the 7500s replacement. One change I'm happy about is it supports 802.11n. It's LAN address should be 192.168.254.254. If installed for residential HSI, the user/pass is admin/admin.

off topic, but @wayjac have you had issues with that modem randomly rebooting/resetting the connection at random hours? I have and AT&T finaly put a netopia in to shut me up, but thats wireless-g and and I'd prefer the wireless-n for ovious reasons.
