I live within the Houston city limits and the City, like other area around the country, claim they are out of money. After several days of driving past a fire hydrant that was broken and wasting water, I called the City.
They said they didn't have as many workers in that department as they used to, and that it would be repaired as soon as possible. What really annoyed me was that they was the time that us homeowners were supposed to be conserving water and the city had established outside watering schedules.
Good to hear that you have water again!
