PPP LCP timeouts every night

I've had ADSL for about the last 6 years in my condo/townhouse (DFW), and it's worked more or less flawlessly, connection rock solid and on for months at a time. For about the last six weeks (right around Xmas time), I've started to see my PPPoE session being reset nightly at around 3:30-4:00am CST. It's almost *exactly* 24 hours, from initial connection to reset, sometimes plus or minus 5-10 minutes, sometimes under 3 minutes of exactly 24 hours. The modem itself never loses sync; it's just the PPPoE session being reset. Small log snippets (its in reverse time order, sorry):

Jan 20 03:33:46 ppp: [wan_link0] LCP: no reply to 1 echo request(s)

After this it goes thru a series of trying to reconnect, and finally does after about 5-8 tries (another small log snippet, reverse order):

Jan 20 03:35:50 ppp: [wan_link0] MAGICNUM 5969d861
Jan 20 03:35:50 ppp: [wan_link0] MRU 1492

Jan 20 03:35:41 ppp: [wan_link0] PPPoE connection timeout after 9 seconds
Jan 20 03:35:32 ppp: [wan_link0] PPPoE: Connecting to ''
Jan 20 03:35:32 ppp: [wan_link0] Link: reconnection attempt 6

I've tried calling ATT support to open tkts about this, and nobody I can speak to seems to have any clue what a Pee-Pee-Pee is. Is there anyone who knows a good number to call so I can find someone who can quickly check the logs for issues that might be causing the failure of the remote device to send back LCP responses and time out the session after 24 hours?

The no reply to echo request messages are likley caused by noise on the line
