It's one of my wife's favorite games and she really isn't into gaming much either. Takes a bit of time to learn strategies, but isn't hard to pick up on basics.

New Weekend!

So... my plan this weekend now that I'm 50 (/bows) Finish Correllia and my class quests. After this, my one overall goal is to go though each flash point on normal mode, even if I do over level them (might solo some if I can). I really want to the see the storys involved with the Flashpoints (apparently there is a really good Revan chain through a couple of the flashpoints???) No spoilers though please.

I've only gotten up to Mando Raiders as I generally focused on questing while I leveled.

At this point.

Goals: Drink to much and enjoy gods gifts of the earth.

You can solo everything up to and including Taral V and probably Malestrom Prision. After that you might need some extra people. Colicoid War Games isn't hard, for example, but the dumb turret stand off mechanics in it can make it that way, especially if you have three derp party members.

The thing about low level mobs is they don't actually hit you often (or your tank companion for example) but rather you dodge and resist a lot of shit because of the innate hit / miss chance...

...so I don't think it really matters. I use Corso when I do shit like that (tank companion) because he is ranged, has threat abilities, and it allows me to focus on getting behind mobs for Back Blast / Flechette Round combos.

So...I dunno. If you "got shit for heals" you're a Gunslinger, just drop cover and pew pew, probably use Guss I guess.

Money is tight this year, so no SWToR, however i got the local MC server up and running, so my wife & I are working on our first town, and about to go exploring the deep.

First few days i decided to let my wife learn the game w/o monsters.. i turned them on yesterday, and she gets to learn how quiet creepers can be..

Two days of exploring and minning up for larger walks.. should be fun!

Actually speaking of Minecraft, Jens has taken over the project since 1.0 and in 1.1 and the upcoming 1.2 has done more than Notch has since probably when they added Pistons.

Anyway, point is when 1.2 goes live you can expect better AI from enemy mobs (such as avoiding sunlight), better biome distribution, the return of beaches, a new Jungle Biome (that is really fucking cool) and at least one new Jungle specific mob, an Ocelot that you can tame via fish and domesticate.

Only downside is 1.2 will require a new world generation to include the Jungle biomes.

I stopped playing for a bit (new kid and all.) However all the new updates have been really cool. I am looking forward to new AI and some new zones. My wife took up the farming quickly in the game i didn't even know you could farm / breed now.

I'm surprised how well my wife took to the game. At first she was just laughing at me because i played it. Now she has spent the last 3 days working on expanding our little town. She also found out that torches are your friend when protecting from random spawns..

I wish i recorded the phone call from her "WHY DO THOSE GREEN THINGS EXPLODE! AND WHAT ARE THE TALL BLACK GUYS AND HOW DO YOU GET AWAY FROM THEM!! all Gabe (3 year old) screams is enderman! enderman! Is that what they are called?"

I don't think she knew that Gabe & I played the game so much (he sits on my lap and watches the game). So now gabe is her second pair of eyes on the screen. when he calls out "Zombie!, Spider, Enderman!" she hunkers down for a fight.

Oh man, I remember the first time I took a creeper to the face. It was magical in an amazingly angry fashion.

For me, Minecraft is a fantastic spectator sport with all the LPs and co-op play on adventure maps. I was giddy as a schoolgirl when I saw that Bdouble0 had put up the first episode of Spellbound Caves with him, Guude AND Etho. That's some good stuff right there.

It is fun to get startled when they start to sizzle..

The best one i've seen so far was my wife's 2nd meeting w/ a creeper.. i was showing her why we need a wall around our town, and we were out side of the wall working on it. I'm constantly spinning around checking what is around and my wife was just standing there. I turned around to show her something, and between the wall & her all i saw was the creeper's face.. Kinda like the surprise shock value in the movie Insidious (at the table). I said "OMG MOVE FORWARD" i jumped back and she blew up... No beds had been made yet.. and we spend 3 hours looking for that town..

we ditched that world and started another.... fk'n creepers..

wow 60 a card for a bw planeswalker? I could understand 60 a playset, but thats almost pre-ban jace pricing. Way too high for a planeswalker that only fits into a small subset of decks.
black/white isnt that great without vindicates, armageddons and damnation/day of judgement.

yeah id trade his ass too lol.
