[Sci-Fi] Lost Girl

Saw a few commercials on Syfy for this show Lost Girl that was premiering this week on Monday that just passed, yet when I go on torrent sites I'm seeing 2 seasons of this show already. Wth?! What's going on here?

Syfy is heavily promoting this as the "Premier", and when I check their website it doesn't show prior seasons or other episodes on the "Episodes" section, so I'm a bit confused here.

I'm thinking that it could be one of these scenarios:

1. The show has indeed been out for a while now, and the "Premier" that Syfy is referring to is the season premier (which doesn't make sense because they didn't specify "Season Premier" like they do with all their other shows, and I would've noticed this show on their lineup before).

2. This is something along the lines of what's going on with Being Human and there is a UK version of the show that has been out for a few years now which is different from the U.S. version, and this is just a U.S. version that is being made that I'm seeing commercials for, so the torrents I'm seeing online are for a different show altogether but with the same name.

3. This is something along the lines of what's going on with Merlin where the UK version was shown before the show was ever picked up here in the U.S., and it is in fact the same show, but the torrents are just the seasons that have already aired elsewhere.

Please help clarify.

Ah. So this is actually the same exact show then that I've seen the 2 seasons for on torrent sites then?

Its the Canadian series that started a couple of years ago.Been watching it now and then for last few years.Syfy is starting with the original first show. Unlike Being Human thats been running in the UK for 4 seasons now. They took that show and Americanized it and use americans and started over with it.

I'm sorta 50/50 on this. I'd like to see less sex, and more action with the faes. But at the same time, I'd like to see more sex.
At least it appears Syfy isn't censoring the show as heavily as I though they would.
The language is on par with what you hear on FX, the nudity is nearly there as well. The sex seems to be tame when compared to the sex that was in Nip/Tuck. But hey, it's not a porno.

Snakeoil, I have to agree with you on all parts. I think it helps this show get views with the fact its right after Being Human. I know I hunker down every monday for those two hours.

while I prefer the UK Being Human, the Sy-fy "version" is also enjoyable

I have to agree. At first I was like, why Syfy why.
But it turned out way better then expected. Like MTvs Teen Wolf. Sometimes they manage to toss you a curve ball.

In fact, I think I like SyFy's version of Being Human better then the UKs one. The UK one will be so different after the next series [or will it be this one?].
As both led male actors have left.

I have to say I'm a bit biased about BH. I haven't seen any of the UK eps and didn't even know one existed until I was halfway through watching SyFy's version. That being said, I feel like I can connect and relate with Josh (not the werewolf part lol) and that is what sold me on the series.

On topic>>>Lost Girl is cool too.
