Re: [Internet] Fibe 12, whole network slows down when downloadin

I am getting the same issue.

If i connect to bell router and download amd driver (150 mb) i get aobut 30 kbps, i do a speednet at the same time and i get about 0.5 mbps.

I connect to my dlink n300, i get 1.4 mbps of download and i get a better speed.

Anyway to fix that issue?

sorry couldn't edit.

I call in, they told me the manufacture (sagemcom) say to put it to channel 6 and suppose to have better performance while download and surfing.

I did that and I did not help at all.

The rep told me that there is a firmware update soon, but no eta.

Tech support was a no help for me.

He also say that a lot of people have similar issue.

Upgrade is only for G...

Either way, I don't seem to have this problem. Maybe you should play with the setting or ask for a new modem.

House or apartment.

Where are you in your unit when you have speed issues with the sagemcom?

Where is the Sagemcom located in the unit?

When you use the n300, where is the n300 located in your unit?

Sounds like wireless signal strength issues. The sagemcom may not be broadcasting at the same strength as your n300 but thats just speculation until you reply with more info.

Hi,

is a house, 3 floor.

Sagemcom and the dlink n300 is located in the basement.

Sagemcom show 5 signal bar, dlink also 5 signal bar.

The firmware upgrade is only going to fix the poor G wireless performance on the Sagemcom, not anything else.
