 br_549 join:2012-01-20 Springville, TN | speed issues having speed issues on all fronts... started w basic service internet, speed probs, upgraded to 30 w cisco router @ 22 mbps... dropped down to 18.5
changed router out to SB5160... 18.5/3.5 Mbps
was told by charter contractor to live with it or downgrade back to basic service again
have run it on 2 diffrent pcs... desktop i have built from scratch & toshiba laptop... ran again w charter call center having service @ 30 Mbps & 100 Mbps... both identical @ 18.5/3.5 Mbps
what about firmware upgrade...
latest was 1247 PM CST 18.4/3.5 ob both units

 | you'll need a docsis 3 modem to you get your speeds. the sb5160 is only docsis 2.
edit: sorry misread your post, thought you meant sb5120. What kind of modem do you have? |

What model modem and router do you have. Doesn't appear to be any such thing as a SB5160 router!

UPDATE:
Replaced w NEW Motorola SBG6580 Wireless Router... speeds still not there as per Charter Speed Test & Speak Easy...
tech shows 31.75/4.1 on his tablet but has nothing on it software wise but even though it shows slow it seems like better connection... I am trying to check on other laptops today...
