gogetter @qwest.net	[IA] Davenport/Bettendorf Mediacom which modem is supported? Hi Guys, I am switching from Centrylink to Mediacom. I am trying to figure out what modems are support at this point by Mediacom in Davenport/Bettendorf part of the Quad Cities. I would like to get one off ebay but not sure if higher models are needed. We have a basic package up to 12Mbps nothing fancy. Thank you in advance.

sajanNOPPIX join:2011-03-05 Walcott, IA	I'm sure someone will post up the official modems MC supports for you. However, I am using the Motorola SB6121 without any issues since June. I'm on the MAX plan.

A lot of people like the Motorola SB5100 and their variants. We officially support these DOCSIS 3 modems: Cisco DPC3000 DPC3825 and DPC3925 Motorola SB6120 The 6121 works for the most part, but are unable to push any firmware to it at this time. GrandMstrBud join:2005-05-25 Davenport, IA	reply to gogetter I have the SB6121 and got it setup with no problems. However I called to see if there were any deals on the ultra 50 (which I had before) and they said I could get it for 12 months for 59.99 which I thought great I can do that. The rep said she pushed it all through I rebooted the modem and also powered it off and the new config file never came down. I called tech support and they said they seen it on my account but a tech had to come out and I'd have to pay $100. I thought BS because I have a DOSSIS3 modem and I've had the ultra 50 in the past. In fact when they installed it the first time they didn't do anything just brought me a modem. So I told the tech to put me back to the 12mb plan and forget it. I'd love to get that Ultra 50 again but no way I'll pay them 100 dollars to come out and do nothing when I have my own modem.
