packet loss -- midland & mcnicoll

Troubleshooted everything...

Hooked up modem directly to cable line coming into house, and ethernet cable to single PC.

Not getting more than about 1mbps down, upload is faster @ just under 2mbps.

SNR, etc. to modem are fine. ROD works fine on cable box.

It's either the modem or the Rogers IP network in my area. Anyone else having problems? They wanna send a tech to my house, tho at least the phone tech was not condescending.

We'll see how it is tomorrow.

Have you tried a traceroute to see if/where the problem lies?

Hmm, everything seems alright at the moment. Might be a congestion issue, but hoping it was just a one time occurence.
