Pretty sad state of winter when you guys down there have more snow than we do. Maybe NYC will wrest the "snowiest city" in the US crown from us

hey how did you do that?

I put it into Camera raw, and adjusted both the color temperature and the shadow/highlight balance. Took about a minute. You can do most of it in Preview on the Mac.

This is Nuts... February 1st in NYC and it's over 50°F at night !?
I should ask my Coop board if we getting a maintenance rebate
for all the fuel oil my building is NOT using on heat this Winter.

Good luck with that.

CooP board is like the local government. They raise taxes/fees with all kinds of justifications but when there's surplus or they are saving money, they never cut taxes.

Here's how the lake effect can change in very short distances - Sunday we had maybe our biggest snowfall of about 3 inches. Ten miles away in Fulton they had over 3 feet. As Packeteers says this winter is nuts. It was 55 degrees when I went to bed at midnight and it's still 48 now. We have no snow on the ground and we haven't come close to sub-zero weather. Up here we are saying the we never had winter just a long fall.

The same is happening here in the Buffalo area. Well south of us got most of the snow. Which is good for them as the ski resorts are located there. Sunday, the city and northern burbs got about 2 inches. And it's all melted.
Saw on the news that parts of Russia is getting nailed with snow and frigid temps.

It's been nuts here. At 6am this morning, it was in the 40's 2 hrs south of here in Watertown and an hour and a half east of here in Plattsburgh. But HERE in Massena, it was in the low teens and everything was dangerous solid ice, and snowing.

It's only snowed and sticked twice since the winter started, and we're nearing the half way point of February with nothing devious as of yet.
