[TDPH] RIP Mojoette 16 :(

Hi Teammates,

Unfortunately, Mojoette 16 has been down for more than a week and won't be back online, period. We got a great deal of WU's from her time crunchin' A bad mamma-jamma during her time but she's done.

The power supply died and I couldn't get her to post. She old & tired. I've had this blade for quite a few years and can't help but to feel a "connection" to this piece of hardware -- weird maybe -- but true. Actually, not weird at all considering the real connections here...

I think it's time to move on to the next generation of crunchers, right?

Tis time, agreed. Our older blades served us long & served us well..but the maintenance and care we deliver can only go so far.

jlhugh See Profile is up for a new blade as well.

A more efficient answer exists, so we should pursue that.

((hugs)) - I understand because 22 & 4 (and a slew of others) were my babies too. Resuscitating them made them special to me and it was hard to say "goodbye". But the new blade she was replaced with is a workhorse, and even more advancements are being made since then.

Stay tuned..Slava will address the TDPH Board soon, and then we'll come to our Project Hope members..

JoJo is about to get crunchin' like he's never crunched before

I'm actually surprised that those AMD-2600's lasted that long.
Musta' been all that TLC.

Thanks Dolphin, for your dedication

No post after trying another power supply?

I just took a good power supply out of an old Dell
that someone gave me.

I have one working spare now if anyone needs one.
Along with other parts is parts.

We've patched these older blades throughout the years, Chris
Ram, psu's, cpus, mobos, nic cards, etc

We're now aiming for new & shiny, low maintenance for a bit - foregoing the single cores for multi

Efficiency & productivity are our goal as these older blades are retired

Maybe I am wrong but in some ways I believe these blades become sort of like pets. They demand attention very often and as they get older even more upkeep goes into them. So I kind of see how a connection is made.

At this point to tinker more with this blades doesn't make sense. The amount of money that goes into feeding this baby would be much better suited to a machine that can produce ten fold the results.

Jason was next in line for a blade, but do to unexpected circumstances I think we first have to replace this blade for Jaq and then one for Jason.

Ideally, it would be great if we are able to do both in one shot, again that is all dependent on the amount of donations that we get in.

Jacquelyn,

I thank you for all the hard work you have put into this blade and your devotion to stay on as host. You have gone through great adversity both with your health and with your house. The entire time you have maintained the blades even when others might have given up.

Again, thank you and R.I.P Mojo #16

Best Regards, Slava
