| [BT] Are there any proxy experts here? My roommate got a notice for copyright infringment. I don't want us to lose our internet service, and I told him I heard of proxy sites, but told him I don't know if they are fee based and don't know how they work. Can someone PM me and advise me on how to use them?
Personally, I don't do music or movies or pron, used to, but I pretty much only get a few books and an occasional app since my budget makes it literally impossible to pay a lot of money since I only have about 50 bucks a month to spare normally (I am disabled, but trying to get work for the disabled).

Best find a free proxy[google it] and put that address in your BTs proxy setting.
if you purchase a proxy you'll get better speeds but you're leaving a papertrail behind you on pay. |

| Pirate bay offers a pay proxy service. As far as paper trails go, its the pirate bay. Don't think you need to worry.
Also there are many proxy services that do not ip records. |

drop a few bucks to get setup with a usenet account and use sabnzbd combined with »binsearch.info to get everything using SSL on your account. I am at month 6 of my 200 GB account and I still have only used 120GB. Assuming you buy a 200 GB block at 11 cents per gig an entire CD is 7.5 cents. a complete uncompressed copy of a DVD is 51 cents.
Usenet pros:
SSL
Max out nearly any connections download speed
Nearly everything you can find on torrents is on usenet as well
cons:
It costs money (although at 11 cents per gig its a good deal) |
