kudos:1 | UFC on Fox, FX, Fuel The UFC just had their 1st event on FX last night and the 1st on Fox a few weeks ago. The have several scheduled for the same channels coming up soon. I think it's great in the aspect that it's giving us really good fights with "lesser knowns" (to the casual fans) trying to make their name. The Melvin Guillard/ Jim Miller main event last night was hardly big enough names to headline a PPV but are 2 really good fighters and put on a hell of a fight.
I think the PPV's will really benefit from all these "free" tv shows because the UFC will save their proven fighters for them. I don't think you will see anymore Title fights like Cain Velasquez/JDS anymore though on free TV. Anybody else thinking the same way? |

Here in Canada they had the whole event on cable, prelims and all on Rogers Sportsnet One. Was like 6pm to 11pm.
Some decent fights, but some snoozefests...
I just dislike the presentation, the desk with the 3 guys like its a NFL broadcast. I think its the same corny music too...
I just wish they would get Joe Rogan & Mike Goldberg to do these too, not these clowns.

They had another on last night with Chael Sonnen vs Bisbing.
What a wackjob Sonnen is,he's not all there.
And Rashad Evans just demolished Williams,should be a great bout with him and Jones for the title in April,

| Sonnen is a first grade nutcase... You know, as much as I'd like someone to beat Anderson Silva, I don't think I could stand this guy's ego maniacal rants if he won, and I don't think the UFC would either as he's extremely unpredictable.

Sonnen is nothing but a troll. He's just milking his 15 minutes of fame turning this into a WWE spectacle. After he loses to Silva again he knows he's going to be irrelevant. They guy was nothing like this in the WEC and previous orgs. He's just trying to market himself for his next career whatever that may be. A 100% Spider destroys the guy that barely beat Bisping last night.
But last nights show on Fox sucked ass to the point it was almost unwatchable for me. They tried to stretch out 3 fights into 2 hours with commercials and terrible commentary by the football guy and Jon Jones. The crew on FX was much better imo. Fox with the robots and and commercials has got to go. |
