Slightly confused about Dual Band?

Ok so i bought a netgear wndr3700 and a wnda3100. How can I tell if it's actually running in 300+300?

On the computer you installed the wnda3100 network stick invoke the 'status' window for the SSID being used. Looks like the above image.

IF you have 2 wireless computers where each one has a wnda3100 network stick installed --- connect one computer to the 2.4Ghz band and the other computer to the 5Ghz band THEN invoake the 'status' window for the unique SSID being used for each band.

IF you only have one wireless computer where the wnda3100 network stick is installed U will need to go through some extra steps;

Connect to the SSID in the 2.4Ghz band and invoke the 'status' window for that SSID .... after you've looked at the status window disconnect that connection THEN
Connect to the SSID in the 5Ghz band and invoke the 'status' window for that SSID

So its important that each band has a unique SSID otherwise UR going to be confused
