Sound proof and good looking server rack

I am moving my computer equipment out of the garage to my study.

There is too much dust in the garage, and in the summer it gets too hot for the equipment and I get drive failures.

I am looking for a 24U cabinet, but because it will be hosted in a living area, I needs it to be quiet and reasonably pretty.

I am planning on venting the back of the cabinet to the outside, so the unit can be sealed, as long as there is a fan in he back to suck the hot air out into the vent line.

The UCoustic 9210 24U seems like a good fit, but it is super expensive, around $5K.

Any recommendations for alternatives?

Have you checked out some of these?

My needs are industrial and not cosmetic, so I get often get Hammond to build them for me. They are neither pretty nor cheap but they are indestructable. A lot of our industrial cabinets also have air conditioning built in.

What do you have in your network rack?

Instead of spending a fortune on a soundproof rack, I'd consider seeking quieter, more energy efficient hardware, if it all possible.

Another option that would probably cost less than a soundproof rack, would be to build a closet, or even modifying an existing closet.

The equipment is already reasonably quiet and energy efficient.

Two DELL OptiPlex 990 small form factor PC's used as Hyper-V servers, Synology DS2411+ NAS (12x3TB), 3 x UPS's (one for each device), 24-port HP switch, FiOS modem / router, and temperature/humidity recorder.

All will fit on two racks with 12" vertical space on rack, plus 1U space for switch.

I considered using a closet, or building a closet, the disadvantage is that side / rear access is not possible, where in a rack/cabinet I can remove the side panel.

The alternative to a regular closet is to build a corner closet with a front and side door.

Another closet alternative if building one is really an option, is to build one against a wall with a hallway on the other side. That way you could have a door in the front and a door in the rear. It could also possibly still be located in a corner so as to be less obtrusive.
