I brought some toffees home with me from England (not this brand) about 10 years ago and the next thing I knew we were taking my husband to the dentist. First chew and an old filling came right out.
Toffee is now verboten in our house.

Yeah, toffee is murder on teeth, but the taste is unique. Praliines and cream ice cream is good (but verbotten to me now that I have learned I am dairy alergic).
