VPN Router HELP!

Hi there,
So I'm relocating to China soon, and as you probably know, a lot of 'Western' webpages are blocked over there.
So, the solution is of course, a VPN. However, my family and I have many devices and we don't wish to pay for a VPN service for each and everyone device. So, is there a router which allows me to pass all the traffic through an overseas VPN?
Thanks in advance!

I think it would entail having a router there that creates a vpn tunnel to link up to the US and then goes to the net.
Most VPN routers will have this capability. The question will be if the providers there allow a VPN tunnel outbound.

Options are
- Windows PPTP VPN
- appliance-based solution
- OpenVPN

Question is always, a) how much are you willing to spend, and b) how much time are
you willing to invest.

When I was there in late October last year I had no problem whatsoever establishing VPN tunnels to the US using a China Unicom 3G connection. I wasn't trying to 'scale walls' (in Chinese 翻墙 fānqíang) but just needed to access my LAN back home. Was also able to reach my employer's company network using RDP and my European VPS using SSH. I have heard that it might matter which part of the country you are in (I was in the capital and Shanghai), so YMMV.

Here's a couple of routers you could check out. I can recommended them all. Prices are from Amazon.com. Best advice is to check reviews on the individual product pages. Enjoy China!

ASUS (RT-N12) Wireless-N 300 Advance - $78.99

Cisco-Linksys E2000 Advanced - $58.99

Buffalo Technology AirStation High Power - $66.99

ASUS (RT-N16) Wireless-N 300 Maximum - $95.00

Buffalo Technology AirStation High Power - $48.00

Or just about any DD-WRT-supported router.
