On the Business Report on WCBS 880AM this morning it was stated that Cablevision was/is paying contractors up in the Bronx $10/hr to install triple play packages.

$10/hr.. wow

That's BS, I know a guy that works for a Contracter in the bronx I believe its Falcon or something. He gets paid 50 per install.

10 an hour if it takes 5 hours for an install. They usually do 8-10 installs a day.

Even if they only do 8 installs and work 10 hours it still comes out to more than 10 an hour.

If they do 8 installs, thats 400 dollars for the day if what my friend said is true that he gets 50 per install. Even if he works a 10 hour day thats 40 dollars an hour. Even if he works a 24 hour day that's 16 an hour.

If he is a really bad contractor and only does 2 jobs a day and stays 10 hours a day it is true that he would make 10 bucks an hour.

At least for a couple days til the contracting company fires him.
