DCX3400 - myDVR manager (remote access)

Ok I just got my cable TV setup and was trying to set it up for remote access however it froze during the sync process and now online it thinks that everything is fine but when I tell it to change a channel or something it says it's sending a command but the box doesn't do anything. On the Setup Remote access page of the DVR itself it thinks activation is still in progress. I can reset the DVR but it just starts over whereas the website is constantly thinking everything is working fine. I've spend the last 3hours on the chat online but they have no idea what I'm talking about. I need to have the device removed from my online profile so I can resync it is what I think. Any suggestions. They keep transferring me to a department that want's to troubleshoot my Remote Control because of the words remote access...../sigh
