1 edit | [Speed] [SE PA] Increased Internet Speeds I received a letter today stating the new HD channels, and also surprisingly an internet speed jump. I have the 40 Mb service so according to the letter it should have jumped to 50 Mb on December 29th 2011.
I run speed Tests at least three times a month to the NY server with »www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ . I am still getting my typical but fluctuating 35 - 40Mb. When will the end consumer start to see the speed increase detailed in the letter. I know these things can take a little time |

Or when you goto RCN test servers does it show you provisioned for the correct speeds? -- Bryan Laird RCN Engineering |

 | Sorry Negativeduck. I did not see the sticky on the encoded MACs. That is my fault.
Encoded Mac: 693891f6924284dac579c24b18896d6da3df2273
When I run RCNs Speedtests it appears I already have the increase
NY 57.3 Mbps PA 62.6 Mbps
Weird I never saw such a difference between the client side of the network as opposed to the server side |

JimFPremium join:2003-06-15 Allentown, PA | reply to gmogoody It just took a call to customer service, who re-provisioned my cable modem, though it seems to have been mainly a problem with my router. But after rebooting everything (a couple of times), I am now doing 26 Mbps down and 2.1 Mpbs up. That looks very good to me. |
