Re: [SWTOR] Billing Issues - Bad Customer Support said by Kulldar:You honestly wouldn't consider this bad customer support? I'm not talking specifically the representative on the phone but from the company as a whole?
Or are you just trying to be argumentative... because you think that makes you edgy and cool? Lack of information is hardly bad customer service. They are working at 100% with what they have been given I'm sure having been in that position before myself. You can't say an electrican is bad if their boss/company gave them plumbing tools to do the job. The electrican is still licensed and a highly experienced person who provides top notch service. A better title would be "[SWTOR] Billing Issues - Credit Card Fiasco". That's just my 2 cents. |

| reply to Zyncotl said by Zyncotl:Here's a bit of brilliance:
To remove your Security Key you have to call customer support. Their phone number is not correctly posted on the 'Contact Us' page. If you have the Mobile Security Key and have them remove it you currently cannot configure a NEW Mobile Security Key to your account at a later time. They can, however, establish a physical device to the account for only $5 plus shipping.

| In theory, yes.
If your account was hacked, and you didn't have an authenticator on it, they could attach one.
If your account was hacked, you had an authenticator on it but had to have it removed (for whatever reason) they would not be able to attach another one. -- Lore Nerd. Role Player. Raid Leader. Healing Priest. Slightly Annoying. Also Likes Kittens. |

 | If a hacker got my account with an auth on it, I'd be far more worried about my net security, since that implies a realtime login.

 | reply to Kulldar Ingame support is just bad bad bad. I have now written 6/7 tickets some bugs some broken quest issues with the same crappy response. No information on my ticket just protocal droid shit. They need to sort this imo. I pay a monthly subscription, the least they can do ais pay a person instead of having the crappy automated response.
One of the issues, i have even explained how they can sort it out and still no solution.... i love the game but the support is shite. |

| Bug reports generate an automated response and the ticket is closed. I've reported probably about ten or so bugs via the ticket system, every one of them is closed automatically and you get an automated response.
Any bug you report via a ticket will get that. Broken quests will fit into the general bug category.
If the bug adversely affects your game play, IE an item goes missing, etc, then you need to try to report it a different way other than as a bug report. -- Lore Nerd. Role Player. Raid Leader. Healing Priest. Slightly Annoying. Also Likes Kittens. |

One of the issues, i have even explained how they can sort it out and still no solution.... i love the game but the support is shite. I bet your ticket was the 100+ ticket on that bug or quest issue as well. It's nice to think you're the first to discover it but with MILLIONS of people playing the game it's unlikely. It's not worth anyone's time to personally reply to duplicate issues that don't require a personal response. If you accidently purchased the wrong epic and wanted to get a refund or new item then you get a personal response. A personal issue gets a personal response. A generic issue that hundreds of people have gets a generic canned response. |

 | It was actually the bonus series on Taris, I finished the series and couldnt turn in the bonus series quest. It thinks I havent completed that last quest in the chain, but I have completed all the quests on the plannet. Still after a month no solution. So I have the quest sitting in my quest log waiting for a fix. I would even be happy to do the last quest in the series again but they wont reset the last quest. Not game breaking but really annoying. |

| Happened on Alderaan for me. Reset the "Bonus Series" quest. It'll require you to go back to the start, but you won't actually do any quests over again, simply turn in, pick up, turn in, pick up, turn in back to where you are.
Yes it is inconvenient, probably will take a couple extra minutes, but it fixes the issue. -- Lore Nerd. Role Player. Raid Leader. Healing Priest. Slightly Annoying. Also Likes Kittens. |

 | reply to Adalicia I tried that but still no joy. Ther problem i had is, half way through the bonus series I had to abandon the bonus series quest to make room for a new quest, i then completed the last quest in the bonus series line before picking the bonus series quest again. I have explained this to the support protocol droid and asked them to reset the last quest but no banana |

 | reply to Kulldar Hello, I am having similar issues...not sure what makes us lucky since so many others are not having any issues. I have tried american express, visa, mastercard, and paypal...i know there is an existing issue with paypal that they are working on. I have spent 4 hrs over various calls with swtor support...and they finally just now admitted that there is an issue that they JUST DISCOVERED. Funny I have been reporting the issue for a week. I have verified with all of my banks and cards, that they are not denying the transactions.
The worst part of this, is that they have been stringing me along with free game time.. a day here... 2 days there...its annoying to have to call in every day or two because of this issue and to give them time to research it. |

KulldarPremium join:2008-11-11 Warren, MI | They didn't offer me any free game time. Actually, that would have made my impression of their service a little better. It shows they recognize the problem is on their end and that goes a long way with me.
I wasn't able to play for several days until I decided to cave and buy a 60 day gamecard. Once this time expires I'll give the credit cards another go. |

 | reply to Kulldar I would say the SWTOR billing database has not updated your new address from your profile.
I signed up via paypal for my subscription which comes directly from my bank account. That way I don't have to worry about using my card with EA. |
