 | [AB] Static on line - Help Had a rep in due to static on voice line and internet drops. replaced blocks in house, new actiontec modem. Says the problem is the wiring in the house. I bypassed the house wiring to attach the modem direct to the incoming line (the block splits the phone and modem and has plug ins).
Same problems occur. |

 | reply to Battscrew Had exactly the same problem. When we first got Optik, worked well for about 2 weeks , then huge static problems and modem kept dropping connection every few minutes. 5 Service calls, they techs replaced the modem, checked internal wiring which was all brand new cat6 wiring, ran another new line to the house(they ran a new one when they originally installed the service). Last tech actually had the intelligence and knowledge to check the green box behind our house (Dslam?) and found that ADSL2 port was not working properly, switched us over to a VDSL port. No problems ever since (8 monthes). |
