This was 2006! Almost five years later, you are telling me in Indiana you cannot get high speed internet? Frankly Sir I am shocked that SBC/AT&T would lie to the US consumers and regulatory oversight committee: D
As part of their merger concessions when SBC was granted approval to merge with Bellsouth and then later renamed to AT&T or something like that... Yet, I am a little dumbfounded here . Then their head of regulatory and Legal Jim Cicconi

made mention to the same great enhancements that were to come if the FCC and US Department of Justice would approve their merger with AT&T and Tmobile.
Hmm... Thank god that the antitrust division of the DOJ wasn't able to convinced by AT&Ts blow hard lobbyists and special interests groups who were previously rewarded with large financial contributions, which just so happened to be in support of the AT&T.T merger. And instead the DOJs antitrust department stood their ground! |
