Fee for Moving Service

I will be moving soon and will need to relocate my current service to my new residence. I will still be located in the same town. Anyone know the fee for this?

If you're still going to be living in the same town and residence is already set up for cable, there shouldn't be a fee, should there be? I'd imagine there might be though if you have a business account.

If residence is already set up for cable, I would try connecting things up before I contacted Charter, for sure.

Otherwise,
Yes, threaten to cancel and see what happens.

I moved across town in July and there was a fee, but it didn't really upset me because there was a truck roll involved, and they had to set up phone, Internet and tv (they ran and/or verified all runs I wanted "hot" were set up like I want). They were on time and spent about 1.5 hours doing everything that needed to be taken care of; I had no problems.

I think the fee was $50 or thereabouts.

Which is more or less what the situation I described above may be if house isn't already set up for Charter.

I could understand that fee then myself.

To clarify, the TV runs were set up for Charter, but they had to run phone(s) and Internet (prior owners were AT&T customers on those services).

I've seen the cable hookups in the house and the box outside. Not sure of the phoneline hookups. Will need to check on that.
