reply to itisme17604 Sometimes a particular channel or two will become heavily overloaded, resulting in slow performance. It happens to me rarely, but it happens.
I find rebooting the cable modem will often cause it to use a different channel, resulting in better performance. So try power cycling the modem when things get slow; it might help.

FWIW, a reset to factory defaults operation first (if the feature is available) and then a "powercycle" operation would be more effective at forcing operating channel changes.
