make video from stills

Hi, I would like to make a video tour of my house to go on the web. The video camera I have does not give me enough picture height so it's not satisfactory.

I wondered if I could take one wide angle (or maybe a fish eye lense) photo then use some software to track from (say) left to right and capture the image as video.

Dont know whether this is possible but thats the general idea.

Your thoughts much appreciated.

I create picture montage videos all the time with Sony Vegas. It is at least advanced enough for you to adjust the picture and set key frames for motion. I'm not sure if the more basic video editing packages will give you this functionality (Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, etc...)
