Mullica Hill, NJ | I agree even in their poor condition I know there are car fanatics out there and car clubs who would certainly pay more than what that car is worth in scrap. far more. Hell he is in LA, and now that this is out I would not be shocked if Jay Leno has tried to make offers since I know he is big into cars.

I think they are largely forgotten cars. A lot of people don't just check out barns and families may know about a car but not realize they still exist and a family member still owns it.

I wonder though how would one smartly handle a find like this? sell as is or foot the cost of the restoration and hope for a multi-million dollar auction?
I mean in the example car from the article a one off Mercedes id imagine you would have no trouble recovering the costs. Hell if its truly a one off one might even be able to get Mercedes Benz itself to buy it back if restored.
