I'm not looking to stir up any trouble or do any shortcuts. I've been trying to resolve this since saturday the 21st.
I'm aware what I'm trying to do is not really a typical normal thing but I wanted to try to do it the right way and go through the normal channels to get to where I want. I'm already set up on Optik since October last year and I wanted to add two more cis430's (I own all 3). (let me know if there is actually a limit for number of cis430 boxes but from this thread I didn't get that feeling »[BC] Optik PVR Self Install? )
It caused a bit of commotion starting from online chat, to calling in and basically Telus insisted they couldn't just give me an activation code and needed a tech to come out to visit and do it for me. (The boxes were hooked up and running and asking for the activation code) Well the tech called me on appointment time on Tuesday and gave me a code to punch in and it worked. But he only knew about 1 extra box to install when he got the job so one code.
The 3rd cis430 has been a nightmare cause he said someone put it as cis330 on my account and so of course the activation numbers for that don't work work on my cis430.
Everyone my tech has talked to has given him a hard time about putting a 3rd cis430 on my account because apparently I'm not even supposed have more than one (note that my 2nd one is working fine and can access the PVR stuff on my main box).
Is there someone able to help me set up my 3rd cis430 and get the right code so my tech and I can call it a day? Thanks in advance. -- Telus ADSL User Since 1999
