 | [SW Ontario] Wow now having to wait on hold for 10 min with no o I called tonight to complain about various problems I have with the Super Sports Pak. My main concern tonight was the T'wolves game was choppy and the audio was off. This happened with other Super Sports Pak stations this week but it is not a normal situation. I hope that whatever is going on will be dealt with. I am in the Sarnia area and had these problems.
Now about other things I mentioned in my call ....
I once again mentioned that I am tired of trying to use a PVR to record sporting events and having the channel it was to be on switched at the last second and no this is not the networks doing this. It is our provider doing this. I don't appreciate coming home and seeing I recorded a menu or another game that is not what I intended to record. Seriously a PVR is for convenience so why are you limiting the value of it by doing this ?!?!?
The last thing I mentioned to the person was I was very upset with us getting far less content than Rogers or other cable providers when we are paying the same amount for the same thing. I have now been made aware that we are only to get 4 HD channels for the Super Sports Pak or 4 per sport ? Why is that when people with Rogers n others get way more ? Seriously providers want us to pay for what we watch but when we try we are disappointed and I may just go back to watching everything on the net cuz if I get poor quality there I expect it.
Cogeco do you want customers or not ?
I had rid myself of cable for years and may go back to that again. |

| Re: [SW Ontario] Wow now having to wait on hold for 10 min with FWIW, when I was with Cogeco and subscribed to the entirety of the Super Sports Pack because they didn't offer NHLCI on it's own, I quickly became frustrated by the SSP guide. It was rarely reliable. Channel changes were the norm, and some games that were scheduled to be aired never did. I was unhappy enough in year 1 of SSP that I didn't bother thereafter. Never had any problems with reception, other than the fact I rarely knew ahead of time what the hell I was going to be receiving.
On Shaw Direct, I subscribed to NHLCI alone. 11 channels in HD, and every game advertised is aired. Leafs TV HD is broadcast gametime only, but what do I care. It's the only time I watch it.
Hockey heaven. Word.
Mike -- No more UBB... nor more AVP... now it's "Capacity Based". Oh... wait... isn't that what we wanted? |

Mike Yeah I'm on Shaw direct too... Although the guide interface is ugly (at best), they have good service, good quality and their guide is reliable.
That, and they have TVTropolis which I watch alot along with Peachtree TV.... |
