Do you guys seriously think i'd be on verizon 3g through Millenicom if I had other options?!? Lol.. I'm not retarded guys!
So again, how much of a movie/show does netflix buffer? I'm guessing its still 3 minutes..
And i'm pretty sure that watching movies on my iphone vs tv is quite a bit of difference in data usage.. Just to be clear, my home use's a usb novatel U670 data card, through a cy-fire amp hosted on a mbr 1000 router.. yagi antenna pointed right at the tower. Average speeds .70mbps give or take a kiddie or two on the network.. |

If you cannot get the speed to run it to your satisfaction, don't subscribe to the service and then expect the service to somehow 'improve buffering time'. It's NOT netflix, it's PHYSICS. Not a difficult concet IMO... |

It's NOT netflix, it's PHYSICS. Not a difficult concet IMO... Big reason I was asking. Before trying it. Jesus, its a simple software adjustment if they allow it. You "I got mine" people out there are just completely assholic.. It is not like I was wanting the service to be free or something... It was a simple question.. Please when you have time, go kill yourself.. Your discussion of physic's is meaningless to my question. |

| Sorry dude, I thought you already had it and were complaining. Re-reading your OP I see that was my bad (been one of those days). And I would kill myself for pissing you off but I'm just too damned busy. For what it's worth I do watch Netflix on my phone sometimes over 3g (not very often though) and don't have to deal with buffering so maybe they have improved it. |

kleinml join:2008-04-18 Levittown, PA | reply to decifal I set my mom up with a Roku on her 768K dsl line and she has no Buffering issues. There is a good 45 seconds before the show/Movie starts but after that its solid. Hulu on the other hand had to stop every 20 min or so and re buffer for a few minutes. So I would say Yes Netflix has done something about buffering. What exactly I am not sure. |

So the days my service is running decent I should be fine.. I think I may give em a shot and see how it works out.. I used to have netflix's dvd service when they still had streaming, but that was before I got my wireless running decently.. When netflix went crazy for a while there with threats of a split up, I jumped on board with blockbuster for dvd's being they have games etc and to just give em a shot.. Overall netflix sends dvd's out way faster than BB, but now netflix delays new release's by 56 days on some titles due to their contracts... /shrug... Silly hollywood. |
