kudos:1 | Just correcting SBG 6580 is supportable. ummmm not correct, you most certainly can. There is a chance of a problem on new 3.0 hardware locking but usually we get a problem report with a model number and can get it rectified. Generally our holdout is to say that EMTA's (units with built-in phone) can not be BYOM.
My Guy Scott just checked for me and we have several hundred users with that model.. you most certainly can use it.

kudos:1 | You would just need to give them the mac address when you call into customer service.
Again they work and work just fine someone probably was either new or miss understood something.

| Thank you I was able to contacted RCN and get my gateway online. But is seems that I am not getting the DL/UL speed I should. The internet plan I have is 25/2 but when I do the speed test i am getting about
Max Download Speed: 7.93Mbps
Max Upload Speed: 901.96Kbps
Any suggestion?
