 | reply to ceecee3369 one is an actiontec and one is a link sys |

 | Is there a reason you need 2? I'd pick the newer/more powerful router and connect it directly to the modem, and remove the other. It could be that if both are wireless that they're on the same channel causing wireless interference with the other.
If you have a laptop, you can always connect it with a wire to see if it drops. If it does, and is plugged into the second router (i.e. not the one connected directly to the modem), connect it in the first router and see if it is back online without powering down either router or modem. If it still drops, try bypassing both routers (or swap the "first" router for second and repeat test) to see if it continues to drop. |

 | reply to ceecee3369 i got a new router (actiontec) when boost was installed everything was ok for 1 week then no internet but all lights on both said ok so i switched routers all ok for 1 day then poof no internet at that point i didn't know you had to reboot modem when installing a new router so i did that and put actiontec back in all good for 2 weeks then today same thing put link sys in all ok for now |

| reply to ceecee3369 When it's down, check the status page of the router. Are you wired or wireless from computer to router? If wireless, do you have the same issue when you connect via wire? -- ***ATMFAQ***DIFAQ***Kitchen Sink*** |

| Everything you've said so far is pointing to router issues. That's why I'm interested in knowing what the status screen shows when in a down condition as compared to an up condition. -- ***ATMFAQ***DIFAQ***Kitchen Sink*** |
