acanac has limitation on the number phone numbers you can call every month (50 numbers a month) there is also limitation on the long distance phone numbers you can dial every day (7 every day) ..If you call a phone number oversees and you don't even get connected they count it as one and your phone would be flagged and can not use it till the next day ...I don't suggest anybody to use acanac voip service ..they have the worse service and you can not reach the VOIp department by phone you have to e.mail...They answer you in 24 hours or more..Do not get service with acanac ..they suck
If you read your service agreement which you had to agree to when you signed up it states clearly right in there that yes it is 50 numbers per month. Now each phone number you can call as many times as you want. It is 50 different phone numbers not 50 different calls. If you are using more than that then you should not be on the residential plan in the first place. Unless you sign up for two lines. Other option is to go for business plan which is 250 DIFFERENT numbers per month. As far as the over seas calls are you trying to call overseas on the free promo plan? If you are it clearly states also that the FREE promo is for Canadian calls only. I think maybe you should read your agreement since it sounds like you do not know what you agreed to with this plan. Never click agree before reading the agreement. If you want help with your account register for the message board here and send me a pm with your user name on the account and I will gladly help you.
reply to MiMi I wonder how have you got stuck to a service like Acanac. There are several VoIP services like OomaOoma, Vonage, and Axvoice that do not provide such limitations on the users as to which or how many numbers they can call. Whatever service you choose the next time, PLEASE READ THE AGREEMENT TERMS CLEARLY AND UNDERSTAND THEM WELL BEFORE SIGNING UP.Because these agreements have the most trickiest part in the entire phone user and phone provide company relationship.
