| When were sd boxes discontinued? I am wondering when were sd boxes discontinued?
I was told that by a rep today that they no longer give them out.
When did this happen?
I had mine for only a little over a year.

VZ discontinued the SD boxes a couple of years ago, although they have started showing up again recently as part of the "free SD box for life" promotion.

Minor correction, the price is the same in NEW YORK METRO / NORTH JERSEY AREA. Not applicable for S. Jersey (served by VHO8).

| My tech said that Verizon has a glut of sd boxes that no one wants or makes, so fios is giving them away. Worked out for me because we still have a safe tv set in our basement. |

| I currently have a free SD box.
VZ is truly giving it away, there is no listing of this box on my bill. Not even a "$0.00" as a line item.
Does anyone know if VZ allows a customer to have more than one free SD box?
If so, how can it be ordered? I can't be ordered online because there is no longer any mention of it there. The only time I could order an SD box was when I signed-up as a new customer and made an installation appointment.
I would like to get one for a guest bedroom that would be used infequently. |

My local store is far from home, but if I am able to get a SD box there then it would be worth the long drive. |

Unless the sku is in the system I doubt they will give it to you for free. ATM they are using them for their free mdvr promotion that includes an extra sd stb. |
