stolen join:2004-04-12 Calgary, AB kudos:1 | When in bridged mode, you can't login to it, the router is compeletely shut down. You can no more log into a bridge mode DPC3825 than you can log into an SB5100. |
|
 | reply to JaY_III 192.168.100.1 is the IP when in bridged mode.
Not sure if cusadmin works in briged mode, Shaw has removed the RF levels from the customer side, so not sure what the point would be.
Still trying to find the msoadmin login password, not sure if the CPU in these modems is powerful enough to try brute-forcing or not. -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |

msoadmin? is that the real login? |
|
1 edit | Yes, that is the 'super-user' login, but nobody knows what the password is.
Those are the usernames that other providers that use this modem use.
cusadmin and msoadmin
The non-customized firmware has the default login as user and password blank. |
|
 | username: cusadmin Pass: password
worked for me |
|
 | Perhaps, but Shaw and Rogers do not use the same password defaults.
The default cusadmin password with Shaw, is the serial number, not 'password' -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |

 | reply to JaY_III User admin and password W2402 works for me. But that won't get you very far as you don't have access to anything of interest.
These modems are made by Scientific Atlanta and on some other earlier models one had to go to a hidden web page such as 192.168.0.1/_aslvl.asp and then enable a higher access level first. Unfortunately those old hidden web pages no longer work.
I have the stock firmware image that was on my modem, and I was trying to scan through it to find any web addresses that would be of interest. Unfortunately the image is compressed and I don't know how to decompress it. |

 | Scientific Atlanta?
These modems are made by Linksys, now Cisco, nothing to do with Scientific Atlanta... -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |
|
 | Cisco bought SA in 2006. The firmware still has tons of references to SA in it. The same admin/W2402 login works on many older SA cable modems. It has nothing to do with Linksys. |
|
 | I stand corrected then, I was unaware that Cisco bought SA, good to know. |
