This only happens on maybe one show out of ten, but I never hear it on the commercial stations. I get it on both a TV set and a separate tuner off of a different splitter, so I don't think it is my equipment. My guess is either that it is a problem with the PBS shows themselves, or with the transcoding that the stations use to convert the videos to a lower bit rate for transmission.
I thought maybe RCN did something to the signal too, but I once heard it directly from an ATSC digital tuner connected to an antenna while receiving WLVT, so I don't think it is necessarily RCN. Normally I don't see any video problems, but a few days ago saw some digital artifacts at about the same time as the pops.
Does anyone have any other ideas where it comes from? |

Jason, what needs to be done to get PBS National HD Feed back on RCN? It was talked about a while ago, and nothing was ever done...are you guys still looking into that? -- CHECK YOUR FSLC TAXES!!! |
