I filed my girlfriend's return through Tax Act yesterday, and we got notified within 5 minutes it was accepted. Once it is accepted, just wait on the IRS. From what I understand, the IRS is back on the normal refund cycle. »www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf
A couple of years back, we had a client that got a refund of over 10 grand, and spent it within a month with nothing to show for it. Big refunds are bad. $750 or below is ideal, IMHO. Even if you owe a little, say $100, then I think that is super.

this has me worried I used taxact this year instead of turbo tax and while taxact said it was accepted I went to that irs site and it says "We are sorry, we cannot provide any information about your refund. For more information, please continue."
I filed on 1/28
I know my return amount which was almost $1,000 I know I still owe like $300 or so in taxes maybe that's why it's taking so long? |

| The IRS is delaying refunds yet again. This is the updated info I have...
The IRS relayed that there are many tax returns delayed from prior filings that have yet to be processed for tax refund delivery. Several million tax returns have yet to have refunds processed nationwide affecting all tax return providers – paid preparation companies and self-preparation products. The delay affects approximately one million returns filed between - 1/17 – 1/25 and several million returns filed this week from 2/6/12 through today 2/10/12.
The IRS expects to correct the issues for ALL impacted returns by Monday 2/13. This includes the one million returns filed between - 1/17 – 1/25 and the several million returns filed this week from 2/6/12 through today 2/10/12. Once the correction is in place refund processing can occur. The normal refund processing time will be in place from that point. Impacted tax returns and refunds are likely to be delayed at least one week.

You should get an email saying the return was accepted.
72 hours after it is accepted you can go to www.irs.gov and click where's my refund. You must wait 72 hours
If you owe you will not get a refund it will be credited to amount due, this includes and State tax owed. |

I filed my returns on 1/30. My state refund arrived on 2/6 and my federal refund arrived on 2/8. YMMV. |

I would check with your bank. The IRS release refunds on Friday's. My girlfriend and I filed our returns on the 8th, and the IRS is showing that both of us will receive our direct deposits on Friday. |

That is odd - I have filed electronically for several years and have received my state refund in less than a week, and up to 10 days/two weeks for Federal. |

Anyone else not get there return yet? I filed on 2/3 and have yet to see it...
I checked the gov website they said I should of got it on 2/14 and didn't get it, i called them and they said they are 7 days behind and I should get it on 2/21, i checked my bank account and still nothing...
I checked irs site again and now it is saying " within 6 weeks from filing"
