It's a shame, I remember when Canada had better broadband

Canada used to have a better broadband system than the United States, which had an OK standing in the rest of the world. US is lagging the world now, being behind United States is pretty bad.

That's what happens when there is no competition and the major players are in collusion with eachother.

Open Canada's telecom industry up to foreign competition and then maybe we will see some change.

Also CRTC needs to be run by people who have a freakin' clue when it comes to technology. What did the last head of the CRTC refer to gigabytes as? Oh yeah that's right, he called them gigahertz.

If you listen to the sound bites from the hearing in front of the committee, Katz used the term "gigahertz" when referring to usage.
