 | My wife and gaming I made some plans this weekend to attend a couple gaming events on Friday Night, from 5-9ish, Sat 1-5 and Sun 1-5.
Now I am getting the third degree about it. So, I said, "Ok, well I wont go and we can hang out."
To which she replied she's mad so she doesnt want to.

 | No one understands that not even women.
Hell I ask my GF why she does something and she can't even tell me.
God gave man women so when he figured everything else out there would still be some kind of mystery. -- I am whatever you say I am. If I wasn't than why would I say I am. |

 | Im one of those people that likes to "fix" things, so this is driving me up the wall.
I told her when she figured out what she wanted to do to let me know.
After she made me lunch though.

WTF? Rule before rules: Run stuff like that by your spouse BEFORE you commit, man or woman. Weekends are big because people talk about them all week at work. She doesn't want to come off as a loser, geek, or whatever her work is bashing on that week (or month or year) -- most likely unfairly.
First rule: when you have a fight is never to have a follow up. Example: You just had a tiff so you ask her, "so we still on for...." the answer will always be a negative. It's her way of showing you that she isn't too happy with you.
Second rule is that if you went ahead and did ask and got a negative, you wait it out. Extra points for favors for her and I don't mean the cheesy flowers but something with more meaning, cook her favorite food, that sort of a thing.
You won't have to ask again, if you did your thing, she will tell you she was wrong to over-react, or just tell you it's on again.
Anyway, people are different and that's my disclaimer if I am wrong. There's no one answer that fits everyone.

 | Solid! Thank you. I was planning on the wait it out idea. She might go to her mothers house though. Then what!? -- DSLR's #1 Diablo 3 Fan. |

That's why you should do something special. HOw about taking her out to dinner tonight? Just say we haven't been out and you wanted to relax. Get a bottle of wine or whatever alcohol she likes and voila.
Doesn't have to be anything expensive either, just needs to be something she likes.
EDIT: If you do go out, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MENTION the WEEKEND, GAMING, OR HANGING OUT. Stick to you wanted a change of scene and relax with her. |
