What version of OS X are you on? USPS.com used to have problems when I was using 10.4/10.5, but I think since 10.6 it's been fine. -- University of Southern California - Fight On! |

 | I thought so too. Would not print. It was a package 18 lbs, not a letter. |

Are you just ranting or looking for help? What happened when it tried to download the PDF to print? -- University of Southern California - Fight On! |

Re: USPS.com will not print labels from Safari I just went through this glitch/nightmare the other day. I printed a USPS priority label perfectly EXCEPT the barcode totally disappeared from the label box. I didn't notice the disappearing barcode until the clerk at the post office counter pointed it out. She then asked me, "where did you get that label"?.
I felt like a dumb ass trying to explain to her that I printed it with my Mac.. She then asked, "did you pay for it"? At that point I thought the postal cop would show up any minute and off I would go to the bloody lockup on a federal counterfeit charge.
When I got home (no I wasn't arrested thank the lord) my wife said she was calling the USPS website folks to ask them what happened to my label. I said, good luck, you will be on hold for 2 days..
Surprisingly she got connected with the guru at the USPS website and handed me the phone. The guy was polite and very knowledgeable with Macs. He explained that the problem is the continuing pissing match between Adobe (which they use to print labels) and Apple Safari 5.1.2. Although the missing barcode glitch was a brand new problem to him. He asked about my system and printer, I told him 10.7.2 and HP Laserwriter etc. Also said they are in contact with Apple over the problem.
He said to use Firefox or Chrome on the next label job and I should have no problems. Whew, what a scary fu&$#!^& mess..
